Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. The town of Moshi serves as the main gateway for Mount Kilimanjaro trekking and offers beautiful views of the mountain on clear days. At the hotel, you will meet your trekking guide for a detailed pre-climb briefing. The guide will review the hiking itinerary, safety procedures, equipment requirements, weather conditions, and important tips for a successful climb. Your trekking gear will also be checked to ensure you are fully prepared for the adventure ahead. The rest of the day is spent relaxing, making final preparations, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings of Moshi before beginning your journey to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Your adventure begins with a hike through the beautiful rainforest zone on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail winds through dense tropical forest, home to unique plant species and various birds and wildlife. As you ascend, you will experience the changing landscapes and enjoy your first views of Kilimanjaro’s magnificent scenery. After several hours of trekking, you will arrive at Machame Camp, where you will have time to rest, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the mountain. Day 3

Day 3: Machame Camp – Shira Camp

After breakfast, you will begin your trek from Machame Camp, leaving the rainforest zone behind and ascending into the heather and moorland zone of Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail becomes steeper as you climb through beautiful landscapes with views of the mountain’s volcanic features. The hike continues along rocky paths and ridges, offering spectacular views of Kibo Peak, the highest point of Kilimanjaro, and the surrounding valleys below. As you gain elevation, the vegetation changes dramatically, with giant heathers, volcanic rocks, and unique high-altitude plants appearing along the route. After several hours of trekking, you will arrive at Shira Camp, located on the Shira Plateau. This area is one of the most scenic parts of the mountain, offering incredible sunset views and a chance to rest while adjusting to the increasing altitude. Hiking Time: Approximately 4–6 hours Distance: About 5 km Starting Elevation: Machame Camp (3,000 m) Camp Elevation: Shira Camp (3,750 m) Habitat: Moorland Zone Accommodation: Shira Camp (Mountain Tents) Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4

Day 4: Shira Camp – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp

After breakfast at Shira Camp, you will begin your trek across the high desert landscape toward the Lava Tower, one of the key acclimatization points on Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail gradually ascends through rocky terrain, offering spectacular views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding volcanic landscape. You will reach Lava Tower (4,600 m), where you will stop for lunch and allow your body to adjust to the higher altitude. This “climb high, sleep low” approach is an important part of acclimatization and helps prepare you for the summit challenge. After the break, you will descend toward Barranco Camp, passing through the scenic alpine desert zone. Along the way, you will enjoy views of the impressive Barranco Wall and the unique giant groundsels and lobelias that grow in this high-altitude environment. Arriving at Barranco Camp in the afternoon, you will have time to rest, enjoy dinner, and admire the beautiful sunset over the mountain. Although the wall appears steep, the trail is a manageable scramble with support from your guide, and reaching the top provides spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and Kibo Peak. The trek continues through the alpine desert landscape, crossing a series of ridges and valleys while gradually ascending toward Karanga Camp. Along the way, you will experience the unique beauty of Kilimanjaro’s high-altitude environment, with dramatic volcanic terrain and rare mountain vegetation. Upon arrival at Karanga Camp, you will have time to rest, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and prepare for the final approach toward the summit. The camp offers impressive views of the mountain and is an important acclimatization stop before reaching the higher elevations. The trail crosses a barren alpine desert landscape with rocky paths and impressive views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding mountain ridges. The hike is relatively short but important for acclimatization, allowing your body to adjust to the increasing altitude before the final climb. Upon arrival at Barafu Camp, located on a rocky ridge with spectacular views of the summit area, you will have lunch and time to rest. In the afternoon, your guide will provide a summit briefing and prepare you for the midnight departure to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. You will have an early dinner and rest as much as possible before beginning the challenging summit climb. Hiking Time: Approximately 3–5 hours Distance: About 4 km Starting Elevation: Karanga Camp (4,035 m) Camp Elevation: Barafu Camp (4,640 m) Habitat: Alpine Desert Zone Accommodation: Barafu Camp (Mountain Tents) Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
